Tough question: Since most diet pills don't actually work, at least in the long term, the glib answer is that those who use them look different by being heavier. In general, the impact of weight loss on looks depends on how one does it. Calorie restriction alone can cause loss of both muscle and fat; adding exercise can sustain and even add muscle while reducing fat, which leads to a better look, overall.
