Varies: Bone loss features can vary. People may be asymptomatic to painful if associated with bone fractures. Bone mineral density (bmd) testing looks at bone quantitative amount. It does not determine bone quality. The quantity and quality of bone determine strength. Bone loss may be prevented/treated by bisphosphonates, denosumab, impact exercise, calcium, vitamin d.
