Depends: This all depends on how bad the attack is and how the patient responds to treatments. Interventions can start with continuous nebulized rescue drugs, intravenous steroids, x-rays to look for an infectious trigger, and others. At some point the attack either subsides and the patient goes home or they transition into the hospital for several days of care.
