Morning i have asthma and was in hospital 3 weeks ago because i had a asthma attack that kept on getting worse i found out at my company that there are 6 positive covid people i want to know if i am at risk because my company refuses to close down?

Uncertain: Does your company have tight spaces that are crowded or poorly ventilated. Do you all wear masks at all times? Do you work near the same location as the infected people? Do you feel any change in your baseline symptoms? It sounds like you are high risk, if South Africa allows for same, I think testing would be prudent.

Yes: Your asthma may not be well controlled, since you continue to have symptoms and have had a recent hospital stay. A chronic LABA and ICS combination may be indicated. Please discuss medication adjustment with your PCP to keep your asthma under good control. Avoid common allergic triggers such as dust, mold and pollen. Avoid smoke exposure and maintain social distancing and good hand washing.
