I think you meant to: Say for symptoms to "disappear". And if that was the case, then one would expect to have the antibiotic produce noticeable effects on average in 1-3 days. However, having said that, while some simple infections may resolve within days, some serious infections, especially in medically compromised individuals may take much longer, if at all. There are just too many variables that come into play.
