Not likely: Appendicitis often presents with abdominal pain, not back pain. Typically the pain is in the rlq and radiates to the midline. Its often associated with nausea, vomiting and sometimes fever. Good luck!

Pain: The appendix is on the right side of the lower quadrant of the abdomen, not the left, lower back pain can be from muscle spasm, sharp, excruciating pain can be from kidney stone specially if you blood in the urine, see your doctor if pain persist.
