Pain? Discomfort?: "clicking" by itself is nothing to worry about. As long as you're not having pain or discomfort or difficulty swallowing it is just a "sound". If you are having pain or difficulty swallowing then you should see an ENT doctor for an evaluation.

Eustachian tube: Most people if they listen have clicking in the ears when they swallow - opening of the eustachian tube. No problem unless other ear/throat/swallowing symptoms. If there are other symptoms, see an ENT doc.

Very common: This popping is when the Eustachian tube opens partially allowing air to pass from the middle ear to the back of the nose. It is a transient condition.
