PCOS treatment: It depends on your goal. It appears you got pregnant before. If, you have irregular periods and want to get pregnant within a specific time period, you may need to take medications to help with more timely ovulations. If you are trying not to get pregnant, then the birth control pills are the best way to prevent this from happening.

Need treatment: No periods are a common problem with pcos. The basic problem is that your ovaries do not ovulate and therefore periods may not come. However, this is not good. You should be on oral contraceptive pills or Progesterone to give you normal periods to prevent problems like polyps, pre-cancer or cancer in the uterus. See your gynecologist.

Try OCPs!: Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome is caused by a hormonal imbalance that prevents follicles from growing normally and eggs from being released each month. People w/ PCOS miss periods because they don't ovulate, so there's no signal to shed the uterine lining. Hormone imbalances that lead to abnormal hair growth can be caused by obesity, so watch your diet and exercise. Control w/ birth control pills!
