Ganoderma: Ganoderma lucidum (reishi) is a type of mushroom. There are no published, high quality trials supporting it for any indication. Still, some use it for: arthritic and neuropathic pain; cancer (antineoplastic acitivty); chronic hepatitis b; and type ii diabetes. It's also believed to reduce high blood pressure and cholesterol levels, plus have anti-platelet activity -- useful in heart disease.
