A member asked:

Salmonella in the urine. the doctor called it salmonella durban. i cannot find anything on this. been on a number of anitbotics. any info out there?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Salmonella is: One of enteric bacteria and can cause gastroenteritis, sometimes severe. You doctor should have information on antibiotic sensitivity on the urine culture, and you should be treated accordingly with proper antibiotics if you remain symptomatic. You could also have this in your stool, so ask your doctor if he should check it too.
