Yes: Hpv is one of the most common virus infection in humans and is responsible for warts, mild skin changes as well as the aggressive ones associated with abnormal growths on the cervix which can lead to cervical cancer. It is so common, however, it would almost be impossible to avoid exposure to this virus. There are almost 100 subtypes of hpv. Two of those types cause warts.
