Ankle pain: Your ankle pain could be from a number of things. It could be from overuse, sprain, infection, etc. It is probably not gout because of your gender. Because it sounds abnormal from your description try resting, icing, compression wrapping and anti inflammatory medication like Motrin or advil (ibuprofen). If pain continues to get worse or persistent, then see your physician. Hope that helps!

Possible : Posterior tibial tendonitis, would recommend a visit to the foot and ankle specialist.

Could be... : Since you didn't mention any injury it's possible to have nerve entrapment, tendonitis, sprain, strain, ligament damage. Try rest ice compression and elevation if that doesn't help see your foot and ankle specialist. X-ray and MRI may be needed.
