A member asked:

I was told im predabetic, what can i do to change that, and what's a good diet for me and my family?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Pre-diabetes: The first thing to do is limit the sweet things in your diet, like desserts, sodas, cookies, muffins, and other carbs such as bread, rice, potato, pasta ("the white stuff"). Often, pre-diabetics are also overweight, so weight loss and regular aerobic exercise is essential to improving your metabolism and improving your overall health. Now is the time to get serious so you don't develop diabetes.
