See below: It sounds like you have a thickened scar. I would see a plastic surgeon.

There may have been: An injury to a sensory nerve leading to a neuroma that can be treated sometimes by injection or with topically applied medication or even some oral ones like neurontin (gabapentin). Speak to your surgeon.
