had a spinal fusion about 7 years ago i now have a very painful lump on the top of the scar and when u rub your finger down the spine it feels ridget?

This could be just a: Simple cyst in the soft tissue to a possible sign of adjacent level or segment disease of the spine which can occur after a fusion leading to an instability. Sometimes a suture that is non absorbable can work its way up to near the skin surface as well. See your physician or your surgeon .
