Common: That is one reason i stopped this approach to spinal fusion years ago. Abdominal pain, hernia, flabby or protruding muscle on side of incision, are all fairly common. Make sure your operating surgeon is aware and rules out other causes including adhesions if the surgery went through and not around the abdominal cavity.
