Not if mixed tocoph.: The hope study found that patients with CKD given 400 iu of vit e had somewhat increased risk of heart failure, but this study used Alpha tocopherol, which given alone can deplete gamma tocopherol, which can be detrimental. There are no studies showing harm of taking e as mixed tocopherols. Natural mixed e will likely work better combined with other antioxidants, as antioxidants work as a team.
