Depends: Depends on the type of stress test you are having. There are exercise ecg's where you exercise on treadmill and you heart rate is constantly monitored, then tere are exercise nuclear and exercise echocardiograms where you exercise and pictures of your heart are taken before and after exercise, then there ate pharmacological test which pharmacological agents r used to simulate exercise.

Stress test: Electrocardiogram done and blood pressure monitored with either treadmill or bicycle exercise used for screening for coronary artery blockage or exercise induced arrhythmia or checking for impairment with certain valve problems. The risk is minimal.
