Epiretinal Membrane: The surgical option for the epiretinal membrane you presumably have on the eye with the repaired retinal detachment is a pars plana vitrectomy with a membrane peeling. Only your retina specialist can predict what your chances of a good outcome are. In the meantime, consult a vision rehabilitation specialist to assist you in your reading and other daily living skills needs, before and after surgery.

Maybe: Depending on the scar, it may be amenable to surgery that could improve the vision. You would need to see an ophthalmologist to make that determination. Aretinal specialist would be best.
