Glad it's not worse: Please forgive my candor. "natural healing" is a fascinating area full of interesting plants and nutrients and folk procedures, some of which are helpful. There's also no requirement for practitioners or salespeople to be honest like mainstream physicians. I'm glad you escaped with just a little scar, and if it bothers you after it stabilizes, get with a plastic surgeon.

Allergic reaction: This sounds like an allergic or inflammatory reaction to the chemical you put on your skin. Wash it off and put on a cool compress. If this does not reduce it then go to your doctor or the er.
