Pain to Ankle: Your pain should be vastly reduced after 5 weeks. You might ask your surgeon about a possible nerve entrapment assuming that the bones are healing well.

Healing: You're still in the healing phase after ankle fracture repair surgery (orif). I'm sorry for your injury. Check the cast, make sure it's not on too tight. It usually takes 6-8 weeks for the bones to show healing on x-ray but the full process is a while longer. Stay off your fixed ankle until your surgeon states it's okay to begin weight bearing. Hope that helps!
