Defintely maybe: This is impossible for me (or anyone here) to know. It seems quite possible it could help and quite possible that it won't help. It depends on why your tailbone is hurting, but the tailbone is part of the sacrum which is connected to the ilium which is part of the hips. The person you should be asking is your chiropractor!

No as the hips have : No bearing on how you tailbone or coccyx would feel.

No: Except for placebo type effect. Just as adjusting the fit on someone pants has nothing to do with fixing someones oversized shirt/blouse. You hips are not your tailbone. So make sure you are getting treatment for the actual source of discomfort. Ask questions, and make sure you get explanations that make sense.
