Hello. : Hello. It would be a good idea to be medically evaluated if you may have a hernia. A hernia occurs when contents from the abdomen poke through a tear or hole in the abdominal wall. It can be a medical emergency if some of the intestines protrude through the stomach wall and get stuck there. Take care.

It : It would depend on what you see and what you feel. You could have a hernia or a muscle strain injury. A hernia may cause visible swelling and recurrent discomfort with straining. The only way to tell for sure is to have a physical examination with your doctor who can help you decide what you may have.
