Are there any medications or supplements that can be taken post-surgery to prevent internal scar tissue?

Not proven but...: I advise my patients to take the homeopathic remedy arnica before & after surgery. This is proven to reduce post-operative bruising, swelling & pain; it's unproven that it reduces internal scar tissue but is worth a try: see http://www.Alpinepharm.Com/results/ i advise 200c just before & after surgery & 12c 2x/day for a week or 2 after. Try a good multivitamin &1-2, 000 mg of vit c 2x/day as well.
