Ents from two different practices reccomend revision sinus surgery, . what would prevent scar tissue from reforming after revision surgery?

Nothing - scar will: Scarring is inevitable. However the pattern and location of scarring is the critical issue. As long as the scar does not obstruct the flow of mucous, the surgery should be successful. More aggressive treatment may also produce better results. Addressing previously untreated sinus cavities may also yield an improved outcome.
