Depends: If you have chronic recurring hemorrhoidal symptoms that do not respond well to conservative treatment you may want to consider having them ligated by rubber band stechnique in the doctor's office if they are too large for that you may need to have a stapling technique without incisions (called pph) to remove them as outpatient surgery.
