Depends: You're correct that wellbutrin (bupropion) (or buproprion) is more "activating" but that does not mean that it is effective for everyone. It is generally well tolerated and has few adverse effects, but especially if you have severe depression or bipolar spectrum, you may need to add another mood stabilizing agent. Talk to your psychiatrist before adjusting your medications!

Depends: It's possible, but anything that treats your depression effectively would most likely help your creativity and focus. If you have bipolar spectrum depression, speak with your psychiatrist about lamotrigine. Also consider psychotherapy if you haven't already. This can really free up your writing.
