It may be what is : Called a pilonidal cyst which can present this way and if or becomes problematic , can be surgically removed.

Pilonidal cyst maybe: Your diagnosis. See your general surgeon or have your gp refer you to one, to have it seen, diagnosis established and to start treatment for it, before you develop too much scarring down there.
