I recently had two boils on buttocks. after washing them thoroughly daily they seem to have gone away, but there are still spots of firmer tissue where they were. no pain or drainage as far as i can tell. are these scars or are the boils still there?

These lesion quite often become pigmented and sl firm when inactive, a form of scarring. See your dermatologist should they become red and active again.
