Jones: Gradual weight bearing . If no pain or regression of x-ray appearance - patient can resume normal activity . Brace or orthotic may be necessary for short period.

I recently had ankle hardware removal surgery from a previous fracture. I was told to elevate the foot. How long should I do this for? Is there a diminishing return since the normal blood flow is part of the healing process?
My medial malleolus fracture was treated 2 weeks ago by surgery and today due to the sliding of crutches i make weight bearing on that leg softly for 1 -2 second . Does it can effect on my bone healing process ?
