Cognitive symptoms: This is common. The brain's limbic system is involved. More specifically, the hippocampus is not working properly to store & retrieve memory. Intermediate memory can be very impacted. Additionally the frontal lobe of your brain is often napping. This can hurt cognition. As your ptsd improves, the cognitive functions should begin to show improvement too. I know it is scary - hang tough with tx.
