A member asked:

I have co-morbid ptsd and my brain activity is weak, can't take meds bc of accumulation, is etc still an okay treatment option in general?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Depends : At age 29 I highly doubt you have weak brain activity. ECT is typically not used PTSD, although if it’s co morbid with severe depression it will help. ECT is not used unless one has failed at least two good medications trials
