A member asked:

Would an igg blood test for toxoplasmosis be useful for diagnosing spinal toxoplasmosis, or would spinal fluid from lumbar puncture be needed?

Spinal fluid.: A serum igg test that was positive would show that you had been exposed to toxoplasmosis sometime in your life - not necessarily current infection. A culture of spinal fluid would be definitive.
