My son has itp. he has low iron and is taking sytron however plateletcount is good but haemoglobin is still 10 and he still gets red patches on legs.

Continue follow up: Continued hematologic follow up is necessary to address anemia. May or may not be related to itp. Blood loss would lead to iron deficiency. He may not be absorbing iron or dose may be too low. But other reasons could exist for persistent anemia. Therefore, pediatric hematologist intervention is appropriate.
