Clindamycin: If you are allergic to penicillin type antibiotics & you were given Clindamycin for an infection, removing the source of the infection (ie; root canal) and antibiotics sometimes is important. You may take pro-biotics to help replenish the good bacteria during the coarse of antibiotics. Consult with your general physician and dentist to see if its right for you.

Key is dosage: Taking Clindamycin assist in reducing the bad things that can happen to your from an infection. Ultimately you will need to determine and treat the source of the infection (maybe a root canal therapy or extraction of tooth). Every medication has bad effects on the body; however the secret is to use the proper dosage to get the desired effect and not the bad effects.
