Conjunctival cyst?: A "heat bubble" may describe a benign conjunctival cyst. The paper thin, nearly transparent, conjunctiva secretes aqueous tears on the outer, but not the inner surface (next to the sclera). A trivial laceration can heal with the outer surface turned inward, secreting clear fluid and eventuating in a cyst. A simple unroofing procedure is curative and minimally invasive.
