Scars: Usually a year is a good rule of thumb but depends on your own ability to scar, uv exposure, where the scar is going to be placed.

Both: The younger you are, the longer it takes. Small children's scars may take several years to mature. Elderly patients' scars may mature in 3-6 months. 6 months is a good average. A scar is mature when it is no longer pink.
