It is a possibility: Given, your previous history of gastric bypass and appendectomy surgeries you might have scar tissue. A ct scan or barium enema would also show if your colon were twisted.

You colon being "twisted" most likely is a reflection of your anatomy. Miralax (polyethylene glycol) will help constipation and bentyl will decrease the vasospasms of your gut. This will help symptoms of abdominal pain.
