A member asked:

If i have a protein s deficiency do i need to take blood thinners?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

See hematologist: Protein s deficiency can vary - some patients have very mild forms and some much more severe. You need to know how severe your particular case is, and then decide if you have other risk factors for clotting - things like birth control or hormonal therapy, family history of clots/strokes, smoking status. All the things need to be considered together to see if you are a prospect for blood thinners.
