Be Patient: You may need some time for the medication to build up enough serotonin to notice any relief. You may also need to be on a higher dose. Talk with your doctor. Paxil (paroxetine) is usually titrated up every week until symptoms are relieved. When it comes time to stop paxil, (paroxetine) you will need to taper off the dose to avoid rebound effects.
