Me and my psych were talking about trying paxil (paroxetine) for anxiety/depression. i've tried many others. even though it's an older drug, is it a good option?

maybe: It can be a very effective medication. It is sometimes associated with weight gain, feeling tired and usually requires a slow titration when it is stopped. Mood stabilizers are sometimes beneficial as well.

May be useful: Some patients have done well on Paxil (paroxetine) for both depression and anxiety, and if you have failed other meds, it is worth a try here.
