Epigenetics: Look up epigenetics and understand the direct relationship of food on how our genes are expressed (i.e. How disease/illness) may arise. 70% of our immune system lies within our small intestine and by eating healthy you communicate directly with it. What kind of messages do you want to send? Also think of your body as an investment for the present and the future. Be in control!

Better for body: Our body was designed to run on glucose, not on high fructose corn syrup. We eat healthy to help our body run right, to provide the right nutrients- which may be removed in processed foods. In natural foods, we get high amounts of nutrients, and fats and proteins, that our body needs. A can of soda with 150 calories fand caffeine is not what I would consider a health food.
