It could be viral in: Virus infections are a common cause of fever and flu. This will usually cause sore throat, running nose and headache. If you do not have any symptoms of a head cold, you should go and see your doctor if the fever does not settle down in 3-5 days. In the meantime best medicatioon is to take tylenol (acetaminophen) and avod drugs like loracet, Motrin and ibuprophen, tylenol (acetaminophen) can be taken every 6 hourly as needed.
