Can you take feverfew and 5 htp together?

Yes: Where as feverfew need to be avoided with ssris due to effects on platelets, & 5htp need to be avoided with ssris, due to an increased risk of seratonin syndrome, (too much seratonin in the system) there appear to be no interaction between the two.

Fever few and 5htp: Feverfew, and specifically parthenolide, inhibits platelet aggregation (which can release serotonin which may fuel migraines) and histamine release. It has also been shown to inhibit release of serotonin from platelets. This is believed to reduce the severity, duration and frequency of migraine headaches and lead to an improvement in blood vessel tone. Mixing it with 5 hydroxytryptophan not good.
