Yes, however...: This should be safe. However, elevated homocysteine increases your risk of heart disease and stroke. This is genetic so your child may have high homocysteine which should be treated from a young age. You should add trimethylglycine to your program. Many with high homocysteine do better with the l-5-mthf form of folic acid- this can help depression too.Adjust doses until your levels come to normal.
