Mucous: Goblet cells line the colon and rectum secreting mucous that provides protection and lubrication. The white stringy substance in the stool is likely mucous, not yeast or a parasite. It should be of no concern. Any burning symptoms might be from a hemorrhoid. See your doctor. Good luck!
