I've been noticing a few drops of mucus-like fluid on my underwear coming from my urethra after a bowel movement (and even times when i need to hold stool in), and i'm wondering what it is? do i need to clean the toilet after use when it happens?

Occasionally some prostatic fluid can come out of the urethra on straining hard for BM. This is not to worry about. You need not do anything more with the toilet than what you do normally.
