Nerve Damage: Was it confirmed by ncs/ emh.? If so there are oral medication such as Neurontin (gabapentin) to control pain and compound pharmacies can make creams.

Time: Depending upon the type of nerve "damage", your symptoms may not be permanent. There are three types of nerve injuries: neuropraxia (a bruising of the nerve), axonotmesis (disruption of the axon but sheath is intact) and neurotmesis (interruption of the internal structures of the nerve). Neuropraxia has best prognosis and neurotmesis has worst. Have an emg/ncv exam by neurologist to evaluate.
