Depends: It depends on the size, location, and depth of the carbuncle. Also depends if it is draining on its own or because it has been surgically incised. May be a few weeks, warm compresses will encourage drainage.

Depends: It all depends on your body response to the infection and the inflamatory response that secondarily occurs. Ie days weeks.

I have 2 holes in my inner thigh left from a carbuncle. This carbuncle has drained several times, and came back. It has never had these huge holes though. Is this a sign it won't come back? It looks good, not infected. I'm washing with peroxide?
