I thought i had athletes foot so began treating it with antifungals. i went to urgent care because the antifungals were caused burning of feet. ?

OK, sounds fine : So far. Depending on how raw/cracked / irritated the skin is, topical medications may cause discomfort and dr may recommend steroid cream alternating with antifungal to address this. Urgent care should be able to address, if not, can see podiatry or dermatology for help.
