Diabetes?: Make sure you get checked for diabetes. Diabetics often suffer from athletes foot and a burning sensation in their feet.

OK, sounds fine : So far. Depending on how raw/cracked / irritated the skin is, topical medications may cause discomfort and dr may recommend steroid cream alternating with antifungal to address this. Urgent care should be able to address, if not, can see podiatry or dermatology for help.
